Despite the deluge of snow, ice pellets and freezing rain, A.E held its second annual Sewer Assessment and Rehabilitation training seminar last week.
From February 12-14th, municipal employees from across southern Ontario and vendors from around the globe joined Andrews.engineer for three sessions of demos and presentations. This year, our focus was on Maintenance Hole Assessments/Rehabilitation and Sewer Cleaning.
The highlights involved a variety of live demonstrations (one of which utilized our own full-scale, indoor trunk sewer). These included: MH cleaning (UK/German based Hermes), the uses of Spray-roq (Empipe), and MH repairs and lining (IST, Source One Environmental (S1E) and Fernco). Not to mention a series of in-depth presentations from our own A.E team, Pipetek, Raven Lining, iPEK and more. The topics ranged from planning a sewer inspection/cleaning program to epoxy solutions. We were also pleased to be joined by Dr. Ma, who travelled from the far east to enlighten us on trenchless rehab development in China.
Thank you to the nearly 70 municipal clients, hailing from as far as Windsor and Ottawa, for braving the weather to make our sophomore Sewer Assessment and Rehabilitation training seminar such a huge success. We look forward to coming up with new, exciting topics for next year so watch this space for developments. (And keep an eye out for our evites!)
In the meantime, we’ll keep our fingers crossed that the weather will be a little less eventful next year!
